- Feather Falls
Beautiful 640-feet high falls (the 6th highest in the United States): A strenuous seven-mile round-trip hike will bring you to a breathtaking view of the falls. Take Olive Highway east to Forbestown Road, then north on Lumpkin Road and follow the signs. The falls can also be viewed by boat from Lake Oroville.

- Lake Oroville State Recreation Area
Located on the Feather River, Lake Oroville was created by Oroville Dam in 1967. At its maximum level, the lake provides 167 miles of shoreline and 15,500 surface acres for recreation. Activities include houseboating, fishing picnicking, camping, hiking, swimming, waterskiing, sailing, and powerboating.
Visitor Center The Visitor Center overlooks Oroville Dam and Lake Oroville, and features interpretive displays, and audio-visual room, and a 47-foot viewing tower. (530) 538-2219
Oroville Dam The tallest and one of the largest earthen dams in the United States, Oroville Dam is 770 feet high with a crest 6,920 feet long.

North Thermalito Forebay Recreation Area A beautiful 300-acre day-use recreation area: picnicking, barbecuing, restrooms, phones, sandy swimming beach, dressing rooms, potable water, parking, boat ramp for sailboats and canoes (non-powerboats only).
- Oroville Aviation Corp for Model Aircraft
One of two locations in Northern California where both land and water facilities are available for take-off and landing. 350x300 foot runway. North Wilbur Road at the Afterbay Canal.
- Oroville State Wildlife Area
Birdwatching (178 species), heron and egret rookery February to June. In-Season hunting (except wild turkey) September thru January, shotgun and bow only. Fishing, swimming, primitive campsites. (530) 538-2236

- Butte County Historical Society - Ehmann Home
Known as the "House that Olives Built," the Ehmann Home was built in 1911 for Freda Ehmann, who developed the ripe olive curing process. The Ehmann Home serves as the headquarters for the Butte County Historical Society. Located at 1480 Lincoln Street, Phone: (530) 533-5316
- Chinese Temple

This California landmark built in 1863 includes chapels for Taoism, Confucianism, and Buddhism. The main chapel is Liet Sheng Kong, Temple of Assorted Dieties. Tapestry Hall is home to an extensive collection of embroidered tapestries, parasols, Chinese Opera Theatre puppets, and Chinese and American costumes dating from 1850 to 1930. - C. F. Lott Historic Home - Sank Park & Garden
A romantic Victorian Gothic revival-style home built in 1856, the Lott Home serves as a cultural repository for objects typical of Oroville family homes from 1849 to 1910. The Lott Garden features roses and herbs, fountains, a gazebo and a covered patio. Located at 1067 Montgomery Street, Phone: (530) 538-2497
- Pioneer Museum
The Pioneer Museum, built in 1932 as a replica of a 49er cabin, holds 6,000 square feet of historic treasures, including a doll from the Donner Party, pioneer furniture and clothing, and a large Native American arrowhead and basket collection. - Feather River Fish Hatchery

This salmon and steelhead hatchery was opened in 1967 to provide a place where a large number of adult fish could be trapped, held and artificially spawned. With the hatchery's modern facilities, young fish are reared with a minimum of handling and cost. Major features to guide the fish to the hatchery include the fish barrier dam and fish ladder. Viewing windows allow visitors to watch the fish as they leap and swim up the ladder.
